East-West Transport Corridor
Connecting Europe with Asia, the East-West Transport Corridor or Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) is a revival of the historic Great Silk Road. This project is developed to increase the volume of freight transport from China to Turkey and Europe countries, as well as in the opposite direction.
Thanks to simplified administrative procedures and improved technologies of the transportation process, the East-West Transport Corridor provides maximum efficiency for companies from different countries, including ones that are geographically not located on TMTM.
In April 2016, in Baku, Azerbaijan, the agreement on the establishment of the International Trans-Caspian Transport Consortium was signed, which is currently engaged in the management and development of the route.
Moving on TITR, the block train “Nomad Express” delivers goods from China to Europe on average within 10-12 days, which is much faster than alternative routes.
The project name - “Nomad Express”.
The transport corridor follows the next route: China – Kazakhstan – Caspian Sea – Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey and/or the Black Sea – Europe.
